Happy Un-Valentine's Day! Yesterday was the Day of Love - the one day a year that we set aside to make a special effort to tell and show those that we love how much we love them. A fortune has been spent on Valentine's Day cards, chocolates, flowers, wine, and other gifts to show our love for others in our life. I, for one, have a very large chocolate hangover, caused from eating an entire bag of rich, dark chocolate truffles. See, they were organic, so that must mean that they're healthy to eat. Well, at any rate, they were delicious and worth every calorie and carb. Now it's the day after and besides my chocolate hangover, what is left of that Day of Love besides a couple of beautiful cards from my husband and some lovely memories? Oh yeah, and a pound or two added to my hips? I'm finding that I'm left with a wondering. I'm wondering what our world would look like if every day were Valentine's Day. What if we treated each other every day as specially as we do on this one day a year? Can you imagine what that would look like? Can you imagine a whole year of Valentine's Days? I propose that we have 364 Un-Valentine's Days a year. Days when we tell those in our lives that we love and appreciate them. On these special Un-Valentine's Days we'll hold an attitude of appreciation, gratefulness, and love for those in our lives. We'll spontaneously give beautiful cards, flowers, and special little gifts to those that we love to let them know how we feel about them. So, to you, my precious reader... Happy Un-Valentine's Day!
