Mystical
Wisdom of the Number 7
A
kazillion years ago when I was first learning about energy and all
the amazing forms it takes and the multitude of ways we can work
with it, I became immersed in learning about the energy of creation.
No, not Creation... creation with a lower case "c".
It
was the beginning of my journey into the Law of Attraction and the
vehicle I was using at the time was The
Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.
One
of the most important and valuable exercises in this book is the
Morning Pages. This simple exercise changed my life. Upon awakening
each morning one of the first things you're to do is write, in longhand,
three full pages. It can be about anything. It doesn't matter what
you write about because no one will ever read these pages but you.
After
a few weeks of a sputtering start, the writing began to flow from
my fingertips. Sometimes it was creative. Sometimes I just whined
or ranted... or both. Sometimes it was just plain boring. It didn't
matter. All of it served to open the creative channels in my mind.
I learned to simply write down whatever came into my mind as it
entered, flowed through, and exited. What an amazingly free feeling
it was to just write without concern about what I was writing or
if my writing was legible or if it was punctuated correctly or if
the words were spelled right or what people would think.
One
day as I was blathering along on the page I suddenly began writing
about the energy of numbers. This was not your typical numerology.
This was the story of our descent into matter from spirit and our
journey on this planet Earth. It was an amazing chunk of information
and my first experience of channeling.
My
favorite number quickly became the number 7. Here's what
I was given about this number:
Seven
is about gleaning the knowledge and wisdom that has been gained
thus far on your journey - after the inward contemplative energy
of six. It symbolizes standing on a plateau after a long climb
upward, resting as you use the energy of this number to assist
with your discernment. It's a time in which you determine what
you wish to leave behind and what you wish to take with you when
you once again begin the climb upward in your quest for knowledge
and wisdom.
You
write this number backwards. To fully understand the energy of
the seven it is written from the bottom upward (representing the
ascent) and then across to the left (representing the plateau).
Many
times in my life I've used the energy of this number as I sifted
through experiences. It helped me to release heavy, burdensome things,
beliefs, people, thoughts which then lightened my load and quickened
my step as I once again began to tread my life path. The knowledge
and wisdom I gleaned from my experiences I take with me, and hopefully
it will help me avoid repeating pitfalls I already made once! If
I do chance to repeat them, at least I have the comfort of knowing
that I've brought with me on this section of my journey the knowledge
of how I solved the problem before. Hopefully it will ease my way
through any repeat issues.
How
about you? How might you use the energy of the seven to lighten
your load as you journey onward and upward during your Earthwalk?
Love,
Kathy

Book
o' the Month
Books
have always been an important part of my life. Because
I love books so much, I want to share with you those that especially
excite me. This month's selection is...
Failing
Forward
Turning Mistakes into Stepping Stones for
Success
by John C. Maxwell
I
first discovered this book back in '02 when I was finishing my studies
at the first coaching school I attended. Recently I subscribed to
Success Magazine
for its upbeat articles and advice. It was a fortuitious move, since
it resulted in my reaquainting myself with John C. Maxwell's work,
and specifically with what I consider his best book - Failing
Forward.
Coincidentally,
as I opened the book today to look for some quotes I could use,
I just happened to open to Chapter 7. As we Lightworkers
are fond of saying, "There are no coincidences."
So,
as a sample of this wonderful book about the powerful opportunities
to gain wisdom and knowledge from our so-called "failures"
I offer this from Chapter 7:
Say
Good-bye to Yesterday
The
problems of people's pasts impact them in one of two ways: they
experience either a breakdown or a breakthrough. Every major difficulty
you face in life is a fork in the road. You choose which track
you will head down - toward breakdown or breakthrough.
To
move forward today, you must learn to say good-bye to yesterday's
hurts, tragedies, and baggage. You can't build a monument to past
problems and fail forward. You will not be able to be your best
today until you say good-bye to yesterday.
Sounds
a lot like the information I was given about the number 7,
doesn't it? Discern what you learned. Then leave that which is no
longer serving you behind, and move forward with the wisdom and
knowledge you gained from your experience that will propel you onward
and upward.

Essential
Oil of the Month
 Trauma
Life and SARA
This
month I'm featuring two Young Living Essential Oil blends - Trauma
Life and SARA. Both of these oils were created by Gary Young to
help release the emotional energy of past traumatic experiences.
The energy of trauma gets stuck in the body and unless it's released,
can create mental, emotional, and physical ailments and disabilities.
Trauma
Life releases buried emotional traumas caused by accidents,
the death of loved ones, assault, abuse, etc. It combats stress
and uproots traumas that cause insomnia, anger, restlessness, and
a weakened immune system.
SARA
enables
one
to relax into a mental state in order to facilitate the release
of the trauma of sexual and/or ritual abuse. It also helps unlock
other traumatic experiences such as physical and emotional abuse.
Suggestions
of how to use these oils:
Use
of these oils during healing sessions such as counseling, Reiki,
massage, EFT, and other such modalities will help bring the energy
to the surface so it can be dealt with and cleared.
- Apply
to your temples, forehead, nape of neck, over the heart and solar
plexus areas, bottom of feet, and areas of abuse or injury
- Add
1 - 2 drops of each oil to hot bathwater, lie back, and inhale
the aromatic steam vapors
- Deeply
inhale the aroma directly from the bottle.
- Diffuse
(I use a misting fountain and the whole house smells delicious)
- Use
on Vitaflex points
- Dilute
1:15 with organic vegetable oil and use for massage
To
obtain the fullest aromatic benefits of this oil, after
applying it rub the palms of your hands together briskly to warm
the oil on them. Then cup them and place them over your nose. Take
three deep breaths This brings the minute oil particles deep into
your nasal passages, where their energy imprint is picked up by
the Olfactory nerve and taken to the Amygdala gland - the control
center of all your emotions and the release of all hormones.
Young
Living essential oils are steam distilled from the leaves and stems
of 100% organic plants. Unlike other brands of essential oils, there
are no chemicals used in the processing of the plants. Nor are there
chemicals or other ingredients added to dilute or damage the natural
healing properties of the oils.
