Healing on All Levels In the olden days - the REAL olden days, before allopathic medicine - people understood that healing entailed more than taking a pill or cutting off the diseased part of the body. In those days medical knowledge integrated all systems of the person - emotional, mental, spiritual, and of course, physical. In the present time medical practices are returning to that ancient belief. The result is that people are learning how to heal themselves and, more importantly, to retain their good health. The practice of giving one's power away to a man in a white coat with a stethoscope dangling from his neck is dwindling, as more and more people are asking important questions, such as:
Allopathic medical practices are sometimes necessary, but are not the sole method of healing, as people are now recognizing. The core cause of disease isn't germs or DNA. Disease stems from more than something physical. Disease begins with the beliefs you hold. So many times I hear people say that heart trouble or a certain form of cancer runs in their family. The unsaid belief is that they, too, are doomed to suffer from this disease. Q. If that were true, why doesn't every single member of that family then have that same disease? A. Because not all of them believe it's their destiny. When the scientific and the spiritual blend, total healing occurs. Healing on all levels must be addressed in order for it to be complete. If a cancer is surgically removed from the body but the beliefs and associated thoughts and emotions remain, the chances are great that cancer will reappear in the body. Those who say their life-threatening disease changed their life acknowledge that they needed to change their way of thinking and thus, their beliefs, in order to completely heal.
