Your Chair
Shortly
after we'd moved into our current house, one of the neighbors kindly
invited me in for a get-to-know-each-other chat and coffee.
As
we sat at the table in her dining area, I was openly admiring their
expansive view of Port Ludlow Bay. When I commented on it, she took
that as an opportunity to bring up the subject of another view.
"We
planted those trees," she said pointing, "so that we wouldn't
have to look at that disgusting view - the cars in those
people's garage. AND in their driveway."
From
the chair in which I was sitting, whatever she was pointing at was
behind me. So I turned around, the better to see just what she was
pointing at. Behind and beyond three young Alder trees and some
overgrown Salmonberry and Wild Rose bushes in her side yard, I could
see a portion of another neighbor's garage.
I
could also see, very obviously, our two vehicles in our driveway.
Stifling
a gulp and hoping she wasn't going to start in on me and our
cars in our driveway, I mumbled some nicety about how she'd
done an excellent job of blocking their cars from her view.
She
went on to elaborate about how she and her husband detested looking
at people's cars in front of their houses. To them, seeing the nice,
new, shiney-clean Acura and Lexus in the driveway of their neighbor
was as offensive as if the cars were rusted-out wrecks up on blocks.
"It
just ruins my view every time I sit here in my chair," she
continued. "We pay a premium for this view and to have it ruined
by cars sitting in the driveways around here is just, well, criminal."
I
was left wordless.
All
this woman had to do was move to another chair and she'd be looking
at her magnificent view of the bay... the one she was paying so
much for. Or her gorgeous gourmet kitchen. Or her beautifully landscaped
garden in front of her house.
Instead,
she chose to sit in the only chair at her square dining table that
afforded her a view that upset and angered her - that of the neighbor's
driveways and their cars.
What
are you choosing to look at? Do you choose to look upon the
things (issues, events, situations, people's actions) that upset
you, get you frustrated, make you angry? Or do you choose to view
things you love, that please you, and make you happy?
If
you don't like the view, change your chair.
Love,
Kathy

Book
o' the Month
Books
have always been an important part of my life. Because
I love books so much, I want to share with you those that especially
excite me. This is a special selection...
Forgiveness
Heal Your Past and Find the Peace You Deserve
by Lori Rubenstein
I
am very excited to tell you about my friend Lori Rubenstein's new
book! Forgiveness: Heal Your Past and Find the Peace You Deserve
shows that, individually and globally, almost all of our challenges
are tied to our perception of who we are. According to Lori...
"It
is my belief that, in this new golden era of ours, the energies
into which we are stepping will allow us all to remember who we
are at a core level, spiritual beings having human experiences.
When we remember this, our thoughts, values, and actions naturally
follow. As we change our perceptions and rise above holding onto
past grudges, hurt, anger and fear, so do the energies and perceptions
of others around us naturally and miraculously also change."
Using
her own life experiences and training, as well as channeled messages
from enlightened beings, Lori walks you through the nature of the
obstacles holding you back and the steps to move beyond them. Lori
teaches you the process, step by step, as she shares her own experiences
and those of others. You'll learn how to use your own stories to
find your way home. There's something almost miraculous in discovering
that the very things that seemed to hold you back are actually the
most powerful tools in moving you forward.
It's
not an accident that this book is being released now. You don't
have to be a psychic or an enlightened being to know that change
is coming - you can feel it! We are in an age where the old ways
don't work. It's time to stop the violence against ourselves and
others. We need to lay aside the image of victim and step into the
power of our true selves. Living with forgiveness is how to do that.
If
you order on November 1st or 2nd, you'll receive a special bonus

Essential
Oil of the Month
 Trauma
Life and SARA
This
month I'm featuring two Young Living Essential Oil blends - Trauma
Life and SARA.
Both
of these oils were created by Gary Young to help release the emotional
energy of past traumatic experiences.
The
energy of trauma gets stuck in the body and unless it's released,
can create mental, emotional, and physical ailments and disabilities.
These two oils are powerful tools when used in conjunction with
healing therapies to release the energetic imprint (miasm) of trauma
that's stored in your DNA from this lifetime and past lifetimes
Trauma
Life releases buried emotional traumas caused by accidents,
the death of loved ones, assault, abuse, etc. It combats stress
and uproots traumas that cause insomnia, anger, restlessness, and
a weakened immune system.
SARA
enables
one
to relax into a mental state in order to facilitate the release
of the trauma of sexual and/or ritual abuse. It also helps unlock
other traumatic experiences such as physical and emotional abuse.
Suggestions
of how to use these oils:
Use
of these oils during healing sessions such as counseling, Reiki,
massage, EFT, and other such modalities will help bring the energy
to the surface so it can be dealt with and cleared.
- Apply
to your temples, forehead, nape of neck, over the heart and solar
plexus areas, bottom of feet, and areas of abuse or injury
- Add
1 - 2 drops of each oil to hot bathwater, lie back, and inhale
the aromatic steam vapors
- Deeply
inhale the aroma directly from the bottle.
- Diffuse
(I use a misting fountain and the whole house smells delicious)
- Use
on Vitaflex points
- Dilute
1:15 with organic vegetable oil and use for massage
To
obtain the fullest aromatic benefits of this oil, after
applying it rub the palms of your hands together briskly to warm
the oil on them. Then cup them and place them over your nose. Take
three deep breaths This brings the minute oil particles deep into
your nasal passages, where their energy imprint is picked up by
the Olfactory nerve and taken to the Amygdala gland - the control
center of all your emotions and the release of all hormones.
Young
Living essential oils are steam distilled from the leaves and stems
of 100% organic plants. Unlike other brands of essential oils, there
are no chemicals used in the processing of the plants. Nor are there
chemicals or other ingredients added to dilute or damage the natural
healing properties of the oils.
