A New Hairdo for My House and I The house we recently bought in Port Ludlow was in dire need of a new roof. The old shake roof was rotten and leaking. Neighbors complained about it turning green with moss when it rained. I was afraid every time we had a wind storm that shakes would be torn off the roof by the strong gusts. Yesterday the roofers completed the humungous job of tearing off the old roof, laying down plywood sheathing, and installing the new 40 year composition roof. Yesterday I had an appointment with my hairdresser, Sienna at Jean Juarez, who colored my hair a beautiful deep Auburn with golden highlights. Yesterday both my house and I got new roofs! As I was sitting in the family room last night, all comfy and cozy and enjoying the sounds of the raging wind and rain storm outside, I realized how the energy of the house had changed. It was the same feeling I had as I left the hairdressers with my new "roof". Both my house and I feel soooo much better. Each of us experienced an uplifting of energy with our new "do". As I walked out of the hairdresser's, I found my stride had a bit of a spring to it. My head was held higher and I was smiling for absolutely no reason except that I felt great. I'm sure if my house could, it too would be proudly strutting around, showing off its beautiful new roof. This gave me pause to consider how it often occurs that the so-called inanimate objects surrounding a person often reflect the feelings and thoughts of that person. Here are some examples of this phenomenon:
