Thpring Although the Winter Solstice was over a month ago I'm just now starting to sense the shift in light. Somehow the daylight seems brighter and it's stirring me to envision gardening, riding horses, and walking on the beach. During the dark of winter these activities seem so distant it's almost as if they exist on another planet. But now the light's coming back which means that the earth is coming back to life. Buds are swelling on the Alder trees, making them look like they have a million pregnancies. The Pussy Willows once again have brought forth their soft little catpaws. The frogs are tuning up for their annual operas. In the memorable words of Sylvester the Cat, "Thpring has thprung." It's an exciting time of year. Energies are revving up and who knows what wondrous things we'll create this time with our refreshed energy. What seeds are you dreaming of planting this spring? What do you want to grow in your life? Farmers know that crops planted on a New Moon result in grander harvests. The New Moon on Wednesday, February 6, is the perfect time for you to do some planning and planting of seed ideas. This particular New Moon is even more powerful because it's a solar eclipse, which enhances the energy of this astrological event. PLUS we're in a Mercury Retrograde period. This particular one is all happening within the influences of Aquarious, the sign of philosophy, beliefs, and being able to see the grander picture. Retrograde periods are all about having the opportunity to revisit issues, situations, relationships, events, beliefs, etc. to discern how they are or are not serving you. It's the perfect time to plant the seeds of change for better choices and a better life. Use the energy of the New Moon to help you grow your dreams even bigger and better. Make time during the New Moon day to write down what you want to reap within the next few months. When you've completed your list, add to the energy of it and increase its power of growth by keeping it near you so you can refer to it often. Love, ps.
