Caring for the Earth

It is no longer an option to live blithely on this planet with no care as to what we're doing to it. Pollution in it's many forms has grown to critical proportions and if we don't stop the way we've been treating this planet, we will no longer have the honor of living on it.

For 36 years we've celebrated Earth Day. Thousands of people dedicate this day to cleaning up some of the messes others have made on this planet. Others plant trees to help clean the air of the pollution.

What will you do this Earth Day?

Here are some simple things that you can do this Earth Day and every day in your own personal environment to help clean up the earth:

  • Don't use pesticides, herbicides (Round-up, etc.), or chemical fertilizers in your yard and gardens. Mulch your garden waste and use it to fertilize and stop weeds from growing. All those chemicals don't just stay where you spray them. They leach into the ground, find their way into the water table, and end up in your drinking water. Plus, every dollar you spend on chemicals for your lawn and garden supports companies that are amongst the worst polluters in the world.
  • Recycle paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, and whatever else your local recyclers will accept. It costs you little or nothing to recycle and saves huge amounts of our natural resources. And for Gaia's sake, don't burn your newspapers or cardboard. That only adds to the already over-pollution of our air.
  • Buy recycled products and support the whole re-cycle.
  • Buy organic foods. They are grown without pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. By purchasing organic food you won't be supporting one of our most dangerous industries - the chemical companies. As a bonus, organic food tastes better and has more nutrients naturally than non-organic food.
  • Don't burn trash, brush, campfires, woodstoves, or anything else that isn't absolutely necessary. Soot from burning is one of the major causes of global warming.
  • Don't buy or drive a diesel vehicle, unless you use biodiesel. Not only are petro-diesel cars and trucks the least clean-burning vehicles on the road today, but their exhaust contains soot particles which contribute to global warming. More information here.
  • Combine trips for errands and shopping to limit driving and save gas. At the price of gas today, you'll also save a noticable amount of $$$.
  • Limit your family size by practising birth control. We no longer have the luxury of having large families. This is not a matter of having enough money to support a family. It's a matter of caring for the earth enough to not add to the existing burden of way too many people consuming way too much of the resources. Every time another child is born it adds to the already overburdened resources of this planet. We are living longer now which means we are not leaving this planet to make space for the newborn.

Here are some links to websites that will help you help our Earth.

The Flower of Life Workshops

In less than 2 weeks you can be in this class, learning the powerful breath and meditation technique called the Merkaba Meditation. It's based on Sacred Geometry as taught by Drunvalo Melchizedek in The Secrets of the Flower of Life Vol I and II.

This workshop will enable you to unfold the secrets of life using Sacred Geometry. The combination of sacred geometry teachings and the meditation create a doorway through which you may travel beyond time and space to the unified living field of which we are all a part - the living energy of all creation. It places high emphasis on gaining your direct connection to your Higher Self along with a specific focus on opening the heart.

Taught by Maureen St. Germain, who was trained and is authorized by Flower of Life Founder Drunvalo Melchizedek to teach the Merkaba, sacred geometry, and heart opening techniques. She has a special connection with the Angels, Dolphins, Hathors and Mary Magdalene energy.

New Class!
Essential Oils: Gifts of Health From Nature

I love using essential oils for so many reasons. Of course they have healing properties, such as anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-spasmodic. And of course they work in conjunction with the limbic system to release old, unwanted emotions. But the best part is this:

It's the only healing modality that makes you smell good!

During this class you'll learn:

  • how the oils are derived from plants
  • the 4 most effective methods of using oils
  • how the oils work in your body
  • the Vita Flex technique
