The
Answer Just May Be the Question
Much
of the work I do as a life coach, spiritual teacher, and vibrational
healer is about defining the problem or issue. After all, if you
don't know what's causing the problem, how are you going to fix
it?
Just
knowing that you're unhappy with your life, your relationships aren't
working for you, or you don't feel so good isn't enough information
to work with. In order to achieve any measure of betterment or relief,
information about the core cause of the problem is necessary.
The
process of question-asking can be compared to an office visit with
traditional medical doctors who spend most of their time with a
patient asking questions, poking and prodding, and taking samples
for tests. (After spending countless hours in various doctors' waiting
rooms all my life, it's become blatantly obvious why we're called
"patients". But that's another story.)
Much
of the life coaching education I received was weighed toward sharpening
the skill of listening. While that's a great skill to have for anyone
who's in a service-oriented business I believe an even more valuable
skill is that of asking excellent questions.
It's
not unusual for my clients and I to spend half to two-thirds of
a session on getting to the core of the issue.
That's
where the Art and Science of Questions comes into play. You see,
the quality of the question determines the quality of the answer.
Or, like Tony Robbins said, "If you want a better answer, ask
a better question."
The
quality of the question determines the quality of the answer.
The quality of the answer determines the quality of the results
achieved. This is true of any life-betterment practice, such as
life coaching and vibrational healing.
There's
a definite talent in creating questions that produce valuable information.
For example, there's the open-ended question vs. the closed-ended
question. The difference? One results in loads of information. One
results in an answer of one word. As an example:
Closed-Ended:
Do you like this?
Open-ended: What do you like (or not like) about this?
As
often happens during sessions with clients, the questions themselves
are often the answer. One of the coaching tools I've found to be
very valuable for my clients is the Carry-around Question. This
is a question that you just carry around with you for a week or
so and ask it of yourself several times a day, typically during
key points such as during difficult or challenging situations. The
purpose is to bring greater awareness about an overall issue.
For
example, the question might be "How
is my core life value of ______ being honored or not in this situation?"
This
might bring to the surface additional questions along the lines
of "What am I feeling emotionally?" and "How am I
feeling physically?" and "How is this affecting my energy?".
If
you have the right questions, the answer becomes obvious. The trick
is finding those questions.

Kathy

PSYCH-K®
Free
your mind...
become the master of your beliefs
rather than a victim of their consequences
Two
important factoids about how your mind works:
- Neurological
research indicates that as much as 95% of conscious thought
is actually created and controlled by the subconscious.
- Your
beliefs are stored in your subconscious.
While
you may be unaware of their influence on you, your beliefs direct
your actions, choices, and behaviors. Your subconscious beliefs
create the filters through which you respond to life's challenges.
Your
subconscious beliefs establish the limits of what you can achieve.
"The
'secret to life' is BELIEF. Rather than genes, it is our beliefs
that control our lives. PSYCH-K® is a simple, self-empowering
process to change your beliefs and perceptions that impact your
life at a cellular level."
Bruce Lipton, Ph.D Cellular Biologist, author of
Biology
of Belief
PSYCH-K®
helps you quickly and easily communicate directly with your subconscious
mind to change old self-limiting beliefs into new self-enhancing
ones. In just minutes you can reprogram old beliefs into new ones
that support you using the whole-brain techniques of PSYCH-K®
for complete integration.
Rescripting
subconscious limiting beliefs is like reprogramming a computer.
Using PSYCH-K® techniques, your body is used like a computer
keyboard which to communicate with your brain. During a PSYCH-K®
session both hemispheres of the brain are included in the reprogramming
to maximize your full potential.
"I
haven't had a panic attack about my weight at all since we did
PSYCH-K and I can't tell you how liberating that has been. Sweet
freedom! Thanks so much!" - JM, Florida

Personal
Story
My
husband is currently working up in the Olympic Mountains, where
biting insects are flying thick right now. Adverse to having him
using one of those spray-on repellents with who-knows-what-kind
of chemicals are in them, I whipped up a small bottle of insect
repellent (recipe below) for him. He put a couple of drops on his
face and neck in the morning and not one bug landed on him all day!
He said they buzzed around him, but they stayed off his skin. The
other guys with the sprayed-on chemicals? They were swatting at
bugs on their arms and faces all day.
Insect
Repellent

- Diffuse
(always use a cold or misting diffuser)
- Dilute
1 part Lemongrass oil to 4 parts vegetable oil and apply 2 - 4
drops on location
