I let go easily, trusting that nothing leaves my life unless something better is coming.

I forgive myself, knowing that I did the best I knew how at the time.

I am linked with the unlimited abundance of the universe.

Ten Canoe Rules

An ancient tradition amongst the tribes of the Pacific Northwest is a summer gathering. The people of the tribes canoe long distances to the selected host tribe's area - sometimes paddling hundreds of miles on the ocean and the inland waterways. The gathering is always a sacred event, and is celebrated with traditional prayers and feasting. And fun!

This year's Tribal Canoe Journey is over. Stories of the adventures the paddlers encountered during their travels are now being told to those who stayed behind.

From the Tribal Journeys website I found these Ten Canoe Rules. They might easily be applied to life outside of a canoe journey.

1. EVERY STROKE WE TAKE IS ONE LESS WE HAVE TO MAKE Keep going! Even against the most relentless wind or retrograde tide, somehow a canoe moves forward. This mystery can only be explained by the fact that each pull forward is a real movement and not a delusion.

2. THERE IS TO BE NO ABUSE OF SELF OR OTHERS Respect and trust cannot exist in anger. It has to be thrown overboard, so the sea can cleanse it. It has to be washed off the hands and cast into the air, so the stars can take care of it. We always look back at the shallows we pulled through, amazed at how powerful we thought those dangers were.

3. BE FLEXIBLE The adaptable animal survives. If you get tired, ship your paddle and rest. If you get hungry, put in on the beach and eat a few oysters. If you can’t figure one way to make it, do something new. When the wind confronts you, sometimes you’re supposed to go the other way.

4. THE GIFT OF EACH ENRICHES ALL Every story is important. The bow, the stern, the skipper, the power puller in the middle – everyone is part of the movement. The elder sits in her cedar at the front, singing her paddle song, praying for us all. The weary paddler resting is still ballast. And there is always that time when the crew needs some joke, some remark, some silence to keep going, and the least likely person provides.

5. WE ALL PULL AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER Nothing occurs in isolation. When we aren’t in the family of a canoe, we are not ready for whatever comes. The family can argue, mock, ignore each other at its worst, but that family will never let itself sink. A canoe that lets itself sink is certainly wiser never to leave the beach. When we know that we are not alone in our actions, we also know we are lifted up by everyone else.

6. A HUNGRY PERSON HAS NO CHARITY Always nourish yourself. The bitter person, thinking that sacrifice means self-destruction, shares mostly anger. A paddler who doesn’t eat at the feasts doesn’t have enough strength to paddle in the morning. Take that sandwich they throw at you at 2.00 A.M.! The gift of who you are only enters the world when you are strong enough to own it.

7. EXPERIENCES ARE NOT ENHANCED THROUGH CRITICISM Who we are, how we are, what we do, why we continue, flourish with tolerance. The canoe fellows who are grim go one way. The men and women who find the lightest flow may sometimes go slow, but when they arrive they can still sing. And they have gone all over the sea, into the air with the seagulls, under the curve of the wave with the dolphin and down to the whispering shells, under the continental shelf. Withdrawing the blame acknowledges how wonderful a part if it all every one of us really is.

8. THE JOURNEY IS WHAT WE ENJOY Although the start is exciting and the conclusion gratefully achieved, it is the long, steady process we remember. Being part of the journey requires great preparation; being done with a journey requires great awareness; being on the journey, we are much more than ourselves. We are part of the movement of life. We have a destination, and for once our will is pure, our goal is to go on.

9. A GOOD TEACHER ALLOWS THE STUDENT TO LEARN We can berate each other, try to force each other to understand, or we can allow each paddler to gain awareness through the ongoing journey. Nothing sustains us like that sense of potential that we can deal with things. Each paddler learns to deal with the person in front, the person behind, the water, the air, the energy; the blessing of the eagle.

10. WHEN GIVEN ANY CHOICE AT ALL, BE A WORKER BEE – MAKE HONEY!

The Ten Rules of the Canoe were developed by the Quileute Canoe contingent for a Northwest Experimental Education Conference in 1990.

Love,
Kathy

"A true healer doesn't do the healing. A true healer creates the space for the client to heal themselves." - The group, channeled through Steve Rother

You have the power to heal yourself. Deep down you know you can do it. But you're stopped by the lack of technical knowledge of the methods to actually do it.

Triality Modality combines three self-empowering vibrational healing techniques into one holistic process. During each segment of Triality, you'll actually be doing your own healing as I guide you through all of the processes.

Each of the techniques within Triality Modality works specifically within one of three core areas that are necessary for complete healing:

  • Physical - The Interdimensional 12 Strand DNA Re-coding
  • Emotional - The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Mental - PSYCH-K

The combination of these three techniques creates a powerful and holistic modality for healing on all levels.

I'm offering a Triality Modality Grand Opening Special!!

Book o' the Month

Books have always been an important part of my life. One of my most favorite jobs was working at a bookstore. I'd gaze around the store in amazement at all of the wondrous knowledge that was available to me in all the thousands of books that were gathered together in this one place. It was like having all of the wisest people in all the world in all of history right in front of me, ready to share the best and juiciest parts of their wisdom with me. Picking up a book and reading it was like walking up to them and saying, "tell me the best of all that you know". And so they did... each time I would open their books and read their words.

Because I love books soooooo much, I want to share with you those that especially excite me.

This month's book selection is Creating Money by Sanaya Roman and Orin Daben.

This book saved my life.

Back when I was beginning my career as a Realtor, the economy was similar to the one we have now. Crappy. Not a fortuitous time to be starting a career as a real estate agent. Nonetheless, there I was, doing all the things my broker said to do in order to become rich and famous. Well, it wasn't working. I was poor and virtually unknown. I was barely existing on unemployment and if it wasn't for some dear friends, I would have gone hungry.

One day as I was in my favorite metaphysical bookstore hoping to find some help, this book jumped out at me. Not literally, of course, but the title definitely grabbed my attention. Creating Money. I bought it even though at the time I barely had the money and wasn't sure if it t was a wise investment or a waste of money.

When I began to read it, the words somehow soothed and calmed me. I moved from feeling hopeless to being hopeful. As I immersed myself in some of the playsheets, I found myself feeling energized and empowered. (I read in a sequel book that each word is chosen not only for its meaning, but for its specific vibration.)

I kept this book on my nightstand and when I went to bed I'd open it to a random page and start reading. Instead of being in such a state of fear that I was crying myself to sleep each night, the words in this book soothed and calmed me so I fell into sleep gently and easily.

As my energy shifted, I began to attract clients. Within two months, I had my first sale. Within the first year I was making more money than I had in any of my previous careers/jobs. By the second year I had doubled my income. At the end of the third year I had made more money than I ever had in my entire life to that point.

The authors, Sanaya and Duane, channel entities called Orin and DaBen, both of whom share their loving wisdom about such subjects as:

  • believing in yourself
  • following your inner guidance
  • magnetizing what you want
  • allowing success and letting money flow
  • discovering your life's work
  • honoring your value and worth
  • coming out of survival

The text is liberally sprinkled with inspiring thoughts that raise your vibration as you read them. If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, you know how vitally important this is to manifesting the abundance you desire.

The Playsheets are fun to do, too. They include visualizations as well as written exercises, both of which are powerful tools for raising your energy and supporting you in manifesting money... and anything else you desire!

Essential Oil of the Month

Gratitude

This delightful blend of essential oils is designed to elevate, soothe, and bring relief to the body while helping to foster a grateful attitude.

When I'm feeling the need for help in feeling grateful for all that I have (instead of whining about what I don't have... yet) I apply Gratitude oil to my third eye, my heart, and my throat. Almost immediately I feel my energy shift and almost like magic I begin to see my world differently. I look at the things I love and feel the emotion of gratitude welling up in my heart. I begin to notice the thoughts I have of love and appreciation for those things. My whole focus shifts, almost as if I had put on different glasses that enable me to view my world through eyes of love rather than fear.

The aroma is rich and exotic. It will make you feel gratitude for the delicious fragrance, if nothing else!

Suggestions of how to use it:

  • Apply 1 - 2 drops over heart, on wrists, at base of throat
  • Add 2 - 4 drops to hot bathwater.
  • Directly inhale
  • Diffuse
  • Put a few drops on a cotton ball and place over heating vents
  • Add a few drops to vegetable oil and use for massage

To obtain the fullest aromatic benefits of this oil, after applying it rub the palms of your hands together briskly to warm the oil on them. Then cup them and place them over your nose. Take three deep breaths, bringing the minute oil particles deep into your nasal passages, where their energy imprint will be picked up by the Olfactory nerve and taken to the Amygdala gland - the control center of all emotions and hormone release.

Oils included in this blend are:

  • Idaho Balsam Fir opens emotional blocks and recharges vital energy. Just smelling the aroma of this oil reduces cortisol in the body by 40%.
  • Frankincense stimulates the limic (emotional) part of the brain, elevating the mind and helping to overcome stress and despair.
  • Myrrh stimulates the hypothalamus, pituitary, and amygdala.
  • Galbanum is antimicrobial and is used for spiritual purposes.
  • Ylang Ylang increases relaxation and balances male and female energies. It also restores confidence and equilibrium.
  • Rosewood gives feelings of being grounded and strengthened.

Young Living essential oils are steam distilled from the leaves and stems of 100% organic plants. Unlike other brands of essential oils, there are no chemicals used in the processing of the plants. Nor are there chemicals or other ingredients added to dilute or damage the natural healing properties of the oils.
