Past Performance is No Indicator...

If you've done any investing in mutual funds or the stock market, you're no doubt familiar with the CYA statement, "past performance is not an indicator if future results."

This statement applies not only to our financial investments, but to our life investments.

I'm continually hearing from friends, clients, and associates about how the solutions that always seemed to work for them before are, strangely, not working for them now.

These times are challenging in the extreme for all of us. We are going through a huge shift from relying on past performance as an indicator of what to expect in our future, to taking our power back and creating our own unique reality as we step off into the unknown.

It's most uncomfortable, to say the least. In fact, there is no comfort zone as we've known it right now. And there won't be one in the near future. Even our comfort zones are changing. Where we once were satisfied with being able to rely on getting the same results for what we've always done, now we're beginning to become disgruntled with those results. What we've always accepted as good enough in the past is shifting to a desire for creating what we truly want.

It's also exciting. The key is to learn how to release the past. Once that happens we become free to move forward into the future of our own choosing, at speeds so far beyond that of light they're unmeasureable.

Here's one of the method I use to release the past: remember the number 7.

If you write it backwards from how you've been taught, starting at the bottom and moving upward, you'll find that you're tracing a representation of the climb to where you are now in life. At the top, the horizontal line represents a plateau where you can turn and look back down at what you've gained during your climb. At that point you have the opportunity to discern what you wish to take with you as you continue to ascend, and choose that which doesn't serve you any longer so that you may leave it behind. This not only lightens your burden and makes the steps on your journey easier, it also serves to guide you in the right direction.

Love,
Kathy

More About An Inner Journey on Television!!

Years ago, just after 9/11, I was introduced into the world of producing a TV show when I was directed by Sprit to do guided meditations for world peace on PTTV. As I was standing in the control room at the station for the first time, watching my friend Shakte Dieste share her guided meditation with the TV audience, I thought, "I would love to be a producer. This is fun!"

Now my wish has come true. The first taping is next Monday, August 21, and what fun I've been having as I prepare for the TV debut of An Inner Journey. I'm having a blast as I create my props, write the script, and design the set. What a hoot!

Once a month for twelve months I'll be taping a show based on a chapter in the book. The show will be aired three times a week at different times in order to "saturate the audience" as the station manager told me. I think that's TV lingo for "giving as many people as possible an opportunity to view it." If you live in the Port Townsend, WA, area I hope you'll be able to catch the show during one of those three times.

If you live in another area, each show will soon be available on DVD or video tape, so you don't even have to live in Port Townsend to see the shows. And it gets even better! 20% of the proceeds go to benefit PTTV, a community public TV station.

More later, so stay tuned!

The lack of light during our dark winters affects us all, and particularly women of menopausal or post-menopausal age. The Winter Blahs are technically known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). SAD describes pretty acurately what it's like to experience how the lack of light affects us.
