One Minute Retreats

Oh, to just get away from it all! The stress, the worries, the pressures of everyday life.

In order to keep up, get ahead, or just stay even, you're working longer and harder. All this working, doing, and being so busy is adding huge amounts of stress to your life. Stress related diseases are on the rise in the US.

You may not be able to afford the time or money to go on an extended retreat to a spa or health resort in the desert or mountains, but you can take a one minute retreat.

One minute retreats are short - very short - retreats from your everyday world. They allow you to retreat from the hurry skurry of the outside world to the peaceful serenity of your inside world. Most of them you can do where ever you are at the moment.

Here's an example of a one minute retreat:

Unfocusing
Stare off into the distance - midrange is probably best. If you don't have a window near you, stare at the farthest wall from you or down a long hall. Allow your eyes to unfocus, feeling the muscles used to focus your eyes relaxing. Feel the muscles around your eyes relaxing. Then allow your mind to unfocus. Just let it get all fuzzy for a bit and give it a rest. Your mind may go blank, like the TV when it's been turned off. If thoughts come up, let them. Don't judge or analyze them. Just let them float around until they go somewhere else.

When you come back from your one minute retreat, you'll feel sharper, energized, and more clear. Maybe even a little inspired.

Overcoming the Winter Blahs Naturally

With all the beautiful sunny, warm weather we've been having, it's kinda difficult to even imagine the cold, dark, gloomy days of relentless rain we had last winter. However, it did happen... and it's probably going to happen again this winter.

Last winter many of my friends emailed me from all over the US, particularly in the northern parts, telling me how depressed and sick they were. I was right there along with them. I had THREE COLDS last winter. Usually I don't have any. I felt like one of the kajillion slugs that were slowly crawling along the ground.

This prompted me to pull myself up and begin to activate my program to overcome these dreaded Winter Blahs. It worked, as it always does.

I thought about all the others who were going through this misery and wanted to help them. Right then I decided to share all the things I've learned about overcoming SAD (that's an acronym for it's official name - Seasonal Affective Disorder) so I could help others.

Symptoms of SAD are loss of energy, craving for carbohydrates, a need for more sleep, depression, irrational emotions, weight gain (must be all those carbs!), mood swings, and a lowered immunity to illness. If you suffer any of these symptoms during the winter, read on.

I've put together a class with everything I've learned in my 20+ years as a SAD sufferer. During the class you'll learn what to do naturally (without prescription drugs) and reasonably (without expensive trips to a tropical country) to overcome the depression and other symptoms of the Winter Blahs.

You have two opportunities to participate in this class:
