About Me Now

I was born December 3, 1945. So that makes my birthday very easy to remember, in case you want to get me a present or something. See, it's 12345.

This birthdate makes me a double Sagittarius with Aquarius ascendent. For those who are astrologially challenged, this means that I have a tremendous need for freedom and that I am always seeking the truth. I also have quite a penchant for philosophy and grandiose overviews of the universe, which I'm willing to share with anyone who will listen.

Being a Sag, I also have a propensity for sticking my foot in my mouth, and in the process of trying to extract it, somehow manage to get the other one in there, too. My friends love me in spite of this trait, or maybe because of it. They seem to find it quite amusing.

Currently I live in Port Ludlow on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It's very green here, due mainly to the generous quantity of "liquid sunshine" that we receive. The nearby Olympic Mountains are my most favorite mountains in the world. I think they are the most beautiful, the most majestic, of all mountains and that they are aptly named. I believe that they must surely be the home of gods and goddesses.

I don't have to travel very far to encounter saltwater... Hood Canal, Puget Sound, the Straits of Juan de Fuca, the Pacific Ocean. I love the saltwater and when I'm away from it for long I feel like I'm dehydrating. To me, it's very life-giving and I couldn't live far from it without feeling as if I were dying. How do people live in the desert?!?

I live with my life partner and husband (a Capricorn on the cusp of Sagittarius) who is the exact opposite of me. He is very grounded, patient, slow moving, thoughtful. Our astrological charts are even opposites. All my planets are on the top half and all his are on the botton half. I call him my grounding rod. He holds me to the earth and has taught me much about patience, something I've never had time to learn.

When I'm not working, I'm enjoying one of my other passions....

  • writing
  • exploring different pathways of spirituality
  • stunt kite flying
  • walking on the beach looking for treasures like beach glass
  • beautifying our home by painting, landscaping, decorating, whatever
  • reading
  • outdoor photography
  • just settin'
